Like all the company's products, PRODA ICE CREAM 10000 is created on the principle of "price quality": it is inexpensive and handles with its functions perfectly. With PRODA ICE CREAM 10000 you will always be "charged", its capacity will last for several days of battery life of your smartphone, player, camera or any other device that supports USB charging. In addition, Proda is a lithium polymer battery that has no memory effect, with low self–discharge, a large operating temperature range and almost a thousand full charge cycles.
The power bank is made of plastic and has a ribbed surface. It looks like ice cream, which is why it is named after this dessert. It is offered in several colours: blue, pink, black and yellow. Compact dimensions (no larger than a child's palm) and a light weight of 200 grams allow you to carry the battery freely even in your jeans pocket.
The battery capacity claimed by the manufacturer is 10,000 mAh. This is enough to charge an average smartphone 3-4 times. Although many users note that the actual battery capacity is 10-15% lower.
The presence of two USB ports allows you to charge two devices at the same time. The outgoing current of the PRODA ICE CREAM 10000 is 2.1 amperes, which means that it will take a little less than an hour to fully charge a device with a battery capacity, for example, 2000 mAh. But the power bank itself will take twice as long to charge. The input current strength is only 1 ampere. This means that it will take about 11 hours for a full cycle of charging.
The PRODA ICE CREAM 10000 has a built-in LED flashlight, which is sure to be an advantage for those who like to travel. As an additional option, the light from it is quite bright. Also note the presence of a light indicator on the case, notifying about the status of the battery charge.
POWER BANK PRO 10000 is a powerful and at the same time very elegant model of a portable battery from the leading Chinese electronics brand Xiaomi Mi. It is an improved "pro" version of the POWER BANK 10000 model, which broke all sales records at the time. Perfect for those users who prefer the compactness of the reliability of the aluminium housing and rich functionality.
The battery supports the fast charging function, which allows you to charge devices and the battery itself almost twice as fast as conventional power banks. However, "smart" charging works only with devices that support it, and even then not with all. For example, with some Apple Mi Power bank devices, it can be capricious.
Of the advantages, it is worth noting that the device is equipped with a new innovative USB Type-C connector, which works, however, only on battery charge, and not "bi-directional", as stated by the manufacturer. However, as often happens with Chinese gadgets, the option was provided, but they could not ensure its full operation.
But no matter how it is with "smart" charging, Mi Power bank is doing its job fast enough. The power of the outgoing current is 2 amperes, which is quite enough to recharge the average smart by half in 20-30 minutes.
The battery has 4 charge indication LEDs, as well as multi-level protection against overloads, voltage surges and short circuits.
The significant disadvantages include, perhaps, the absence of a second charging slot. If there are several gadgets in the house, and usually it always happens, they will have to be charged in turn.
In general, the model turned out to be very successful, which is confirmed by its unprecedented popularity, despite the considerable price. There are bad reviews, but most of them are due to numerous fakes on the market, which, with their obviously inferior quality and a large percentage of defects, spoil the reputation of both the model and the brand. In this regard, we recommend buying Mi Power bank only in specialized stores, so as not to run into a fake and get the maximum benefit and pleasure from using this device.
TP-link is a fairly young, but rapidly and very successfully developing company for the production of wireless network equipment, especially widely known for its Wi-Fi routers. Not so long ago, the company released its own line of android smartphones, and with it several excellent models of power banks, the most titled of which TL-PB10400 in 2015 was awarded as the most recommended product for purchase on three online electronics resources at once: Polish, Danish and Portuguese.
The portable battery received a compact rectangular shape with rounded edges and a body made of glossy white plastic with blue inserts on the sides. The battery looks stylish and neat, besides, it fits comfortably in your hand. Some complain about the heavy (!) weight, in response to which it remains only to sympathize, because the battery weighs less than a quarter of a kilo.
The battery capacity is 10,400 mAh. There are two charging slots for 1 and 2 amps. The input current is 2 amperes. There is a light indication of the charge and a flashlight that is controlled with one button. It shines a little weakly, but as for an additional option it will do. Micro USB allows you to charge iOS devices, which makes the TL-PB10400 an almost universal charger.
And one could consider it as such, because even a protective case is included, but the usb cable is short and brittle. And this is a disadvantage. Although, perhaps, the only one.
The ZENPOWER portable battery from the famous electronics manufacturer ASUS will delight with a combination of practicality, simplicity and conciseness. The classic flat shape with an area no larger than a credit card adds ergonomics to the device.
ZENPOWER is placed in a durable aluminium case with plastic inserts on top and bottom. Therefore, if you hit or drop the battery from a small height, it will "survive" without problems. Power bank colour options delight with their variety: black, white, pink, gold and blue.
On the control panel, located on one of the plastic inserts, there are: a power button, a 4-level charge indicator, standard and micro USB connectors. The strength of the outgoing current is as much as 2.4 amperes, which allows you to charge any mobile gadgets very quickly. Despite the fact that the battery is lithium-ion, which means it is not as resource-intensive as polymer, the manufacturer very ambiguously states that it is designed for as many as 5000 cycles. Without specifying at the same time what kind of cycles we are talking about: connections-disconnections or full charges-discharges. Anyway, the second option is hard to believe.
The claimed capacity of the power bank is 10,050 mAh, and here the manufacturer indicates that the full cycle of its charging takes place in 6 hours. And this is with an incoming current of 2 A. Why arithmetic does not add up, it begins to become clear when you find out that lithium-ion batteries are highly susceptible to self-discharge, as ASUS indirectly says in its performance table. From it it becomes clear that with all the advantages of this battery, its capacity either does not correspond to the claimed one, or self-discharge is spent faster than it manages to go through several full charging cycles of other devices.
There is no flashlight, the price bites, there is a protective bumper, but it is bought optionally, nevertheless, a solid appearance, compactness, reliability and fast charging take their toll and bring ZENPOWER to the leaders of portable external batteries.
Samsung Corporation is distinguished by the fact that it produces high-quality electronic devices with a stylish bright design and good ergonomics. The external battery EB-PN915B is another confirmation of this.
The "trick" of this power bank is the variability of the design. The battery is offered in three colours of soft pastel tones, as well as in the Animal Edition version with images of a cheerful panda or a golden monkey, with which, moreover, you can also play while charging. However, for this you will need a Samsung smartphone and a special application installed on it, downloaded from Google Play.
The coloured side of the battery is finished with artificial leather, which gives the device a stylish and spectacular appearance.
Another "trick" of the battery is in a non-removable charging cable, which is very convenient, especially in cases when there is no separate usb cable at hand. The non-removable cable, although short (only 6 cm), but it will never get lost, besides, it easily hides in the case. And the charged device can be conveniently placed on the dermatin surface of the battery, and it will not slip off it.
The device supports simultaneous charging of two devices, having 2 options for the outgoing current strength: 1 and 2 amperes. The incoming charge current is 2 amperes, which allows you to achieve a full charge of the battery in 5-6 hours with a voltage of 5V. And a 4-position glowing charging level indicator will indicate the actual charge capacity, which the EB-PN915B has claimed at a maximum level of 11300 mAh. At the same time, the power bank is lithium-polymer, which makes it more durable than lithium-ion models and not so susceptible to self-discharge.
The disadvantage of the model is only one, but very noticeable: the absence of a separate USB cable in the kit. That is, you will have to buy it separately, otherwise there will be nothing to charge the second device and the battery itself. You can also note the considerable cost, but with all the advantages of the EB-PN915B, it is generally justified.
The flagship of portable external batteries in the segment from 50 USD, proving that the Korean brand Samsung is still capable of surprising.
EB PG 935 really knows how to charge devices quickly and charge itself quickly. The current strength at the input and output is the same and is equal to 2 amperes, which allows you to fully charge the power bank from scratch in 3.5 hours.
In terms of design, the battery practically repeats the form factor of most of Samsung's flagship mobile devices, having a beautiful aluminium case with smooth rounded edges, on which the company's corporate logo and the inscription "Fast charge" are emblazoned for those who want to show off the fast charging function. On the side panel there are micro and standard USB ports, a power button and a 4-point LED indicator of the charge capacity.
The model is available in two colours: matte black and silver. The size of the power bank is no larger than a standard pack of cigarettes.
It would seem that there is absolutely nothing to complain about, the battery looks and works fine, there is a 20-centimeter USB cable included and a user manual in Russian, but in the reviews some buyers complain about the "selectivity" of fast charging. It does not work with all devices, which the manufacturer, of course, did not promise, but it is still unpleasant. And the EB PG 935 cannot simultaneously charge two devices at once, and it would not hurt at such a cost.
The Korean flagship continues to surprise with its new products. This time he decided to hit his competitors in the segment of external batteries and did it very successfully. EB-PA710 is the first power bank with an exclusive form factor, which is designed for maximum user convenience. Upon first acquaintance with the device, it seems that Samsung has put together all the shortcomings inherent in external batteries and safely got rid of them in the new model.
The case has a specific shape that makes it very convenient to hold the battery in the palm of your hand. The power bank is rectangular, but in the upper part it has a slight bend for expansion, which may remind someone of a pistol grip, and someone of a kettle with an elongated spout. The EB-PA710 is assembled, of course, soundly, like all Samsung devices, not made of aluminium, but of very high-quality matte plastic, pleasant to the touch, also in different versions of warm pastel colours: mint blue and coral. A wrist strap is attached to the case for additional wearing convenience.
Separately, we note the design of the USB cable included in the package. Its length is only 20 cm, which will probably seem a little to someone, but that's not the point. There is a special protrusion holder on the output connector of the cable to fix the smartphone in an upright position during charging. A trifle, but pleasant, because now you don't have to buy a separate stand or a special case for the phone.
EB-PA710 is the first power bank with an incredibly high output current: 2.8 amps. It will take less than an hour to fully charge a smartphone with a 2600 mAh battery capacity (Galaxy S6 edge)! However, only one port will charge so fast, the second one charges a little slower, the output current is 2 amperes, as well as the charging port of the battery itself.
The battery completely replenishes its own forces in 6 hours and holds a charge very well if not used for a long time. A stripe LED indicator located on the end of the case will help to orient how charged it is. The display looks very impressive.
Samsung wouldn't be Samsung if it hadn't come up with some interesting option for the novelty. The EB-PA710 has an LED lamp that attaches to the side panel from the wide side, connects to USB and shines like a beacon at night very brightly. Moreover, it can shine like this for almost a day and a half (30-35 hours), provided that the power bank has been fully charged before. The disadvantage of using the lamp is that it is impossible to use the battery for its intended purpose at the same time: the lamp covers all USB outputs. You can buy an LED flashlight separately, it is not included in the kit with the battery.
